Privacy

The short version

Migo reads Google Maps lists that you choose to share with it, and answers questions about the places in them. It never connects to your Google account, and it cannot see anything you haven't sent it.

What we store

• Your Google identity — email and name, from signing in. We use them to know who you are and what to call you.
• Lists you send us — the share link, and the places inside it: names, addresses, coordinates, and any notes you wrote in Google Maps.
• Your chat account — the Telegram chat ID and username, or on WhatsApp your phone number, so Migo can reply to you. Your number is never shown to anyone and never used for anything except routing replies.
• Your messages to Migo — kept so a follow-up question can build on the last one.
• Your location — only when you tap to share it, and only the most recent one. It is treated as stale after three hours.

What we never do

• Access your Google account. Signing in with Google tells us who you are; it grants us nothing about your Maps data. Lists reach us only because you send us a share link.
• Sell your data, or share it for advertising.
• Post anything anywhere on your behalf.
• Track your location in the background.

Who else sees it?

To provide Migo's search and AI capabilities, we use trusted third-party infrastructure and AI service providers. When you search for a place, relevant details such as the place name and address may be processed to identify the correct location and answer your question.

Your email address is never shared with our search or AI providers. We only share the minimum information required to provide the service.

Sharing a list

Nothing you save is public unless you make it so. Creating a share link for a list is a deliberate action, taken one list at a time — and that link lets anyone who has it search that list in Migo, and opens a web page showing the list's name and some of its places.

Your personal notes are never included, on the page or in anyone else's search results. You can turn any link off at any moment, which disables both the link and its page immediately, and you can switch public pages off entirely in Settings.

Places are shared, your notes are not

Facts about a restaurant — its address, category, what kind of place it is — are stored once and reused across everyone, so the same restaurant is never looked up twice. Which lists you saved, what you wrote about a place, and what you asked Migo belong to you alone and are never shown to another user.

Deleting things

Deleting a list in Migo removes it and your notes immediately. To delete your account and everything attached to it, email us and we will do it — there is no waiting period.
